What’s included

Itinerary

At 08:00, transportation by car to Porto da Ceasa.

  • We will embark on a local boat;
  • Travel along the river route to the Meeting of the Waters;
  • A quick stop for photographs of the confluence of the Negro and Solimões rivers;
  • Chances of observing pink dolphins in this area.

Continuing the excursion, our journey proceeds to Vila do Careiro, where we will depart by land (van or minibus) via BR-319. Along the way, you can admire the Water-lilies.
After a brief stop for photographs at Water-lilies, we continued our journey towards our destination.

From 14km on AM-254, the expedition will proceed along the river in a motorized boat. This segment of the journey promises an authentic adventure, as we navigate a picturesque route through the Igarapés (small river branches) and the Igapós (flooded forest area).

  • Anticipated arrival at Amazon Mureru Lodge is at 12 pPM;
  • Arrival with complimentary beverages;
  • Recognition of amenities in the lodge vicinity;
  • Lunch will be served subsequently.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a motorized canoe excursion to explore the area:

  • Excellent opportunity to observe Amazonian wildlife and plant life;
  • Possibility of observing monkeys, sloths, and various bird species;
  • Dinner will be served at 7 PM featuring the finest Amazonian cuisine.

At 5:30 AM, we will depart early for a motorized canoe excursion to:

  • Contemplating the sunrise;
  • Birdwatching;
  • Return to the lodge for breakfast.

At 8:30 AM, our jungle guide will lead you on a trek through thick forest paths, teaching
some native skills:

  • Surviving in the jungle;
  • Acquire knowledge regarding the extensive biodiversity of the Mamori region;
  • The guide can offer insights into the region’s Fauna and Flora.

Return to the lodge for lunch.
At 3:30 PM, embark on a journey to Lake Tracajá for local fishing aboard a motorized canoe.
Return to the lodge after observing piranhas and other fish native to the region.
After dinner, embark on a journey to observe nocturnal animals, with the alligator spotting

At 8 AM, the day will focus on tours involving visits to local communities:

  • Visit to the caboclo’s house;
  • Familiarize yourself with the customs and culture of the riverside caboclo;
  • Exploration of a cassava plantation and vegetable gardens in the local communities.

Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we will immerse ourselves in a unique sensory
experience while observing the Amazon.

  • Canoeing excursion;
  • Opportunity to capture stunning scenery;
  • Reflection on the amazonian fauna and flora;
  • Stimulate our senses and listen to the jungle’s sounds.

During the peak river season (January to September), there is an opportunity to navigate within the Igapós (flooded forests) and investigate the Igarapés (small channels that traverse the flooded forests).

Guests can enjoy a complimentary evening to explore the amenities at Mureru Lodge and the Lake Tracajá area, both providing excellent opportunities for visitors to experience tranquil waters, starlit skies, and a cozy bar serving beverages infused with Amazonian tastes.

At 8 AM, the day will commence with breakfast followed by a guided walk. The wilderness, with the remainder of the day allocated to:

  • Opportunity to learn about medicinal plant species;
  • Discover more about the indigenous tree of the region: The Seringueira;
  • Visit to the residence of a senior rubber tapper;
  • Latex smoking techniques observation;
  • Latex transformation into natural rubber;
  • Opportunity to observe and learn about rubber craft techniques;
  • Lunch will be provided at the Lodge.

Additional activities can be selected from the ecotourism tour offerings for the afternoon or evening.

At 8 AM, enjoy breakfast before embarking on a river excursion to the lakes close to the lodge
for:

  • Porpoise contemplation;
  • Reflection on the amazon rainforest;
  • Attend the community school nearby;
  • Opportunity to learn about the lives of riverside dwellers and caboclos in the region.

Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, head back to Manaus. Depart from the lodge at 1:30 PM, anticipate arrival at 5:00 PM, concluding at a hotel in Manaus or the airport.

If you have a flight on the day of departure, we may be able to reschedule it based on the flight time.

Departing after breakfast at 8:30 AM, the arrival at the airport is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
